Cleveland Browns Hype Warranted
The Cleveland Browns go into the upcoming season looking to live up to exceeding expectations. The Browns won five of its final seven games in 2018. The team finished 7-8-1 however they suffered four losses by 1-3 points last season.
The team improved by trading for Odell Beckham giving the Browns one of the best-receiving trios in the game when including Jarvis Landry and Antonio Callaway. The team also signed Ohio native Kareem Hunt who will return midseason after completing an eight-game suspension. The club already features Nick Chubb in their backfield who ran for 5.2 yards per rush last season and came only four yards shy of a 1,000-yard season.
The team will need to improve defensively. The Browns were 30th in total defense last season and 21st in points against.
They are hoping for a big year from former first pick Myles Garrett and substantial contributions from Olivier Vernon and Morgan Burnett. They also are excited about the play from Denzel Ward after his rookie year at cornerback.
The Browns win total is set at 9, and I expect that the Browns will exceed that number and win the AFC North.
